Duties include assisting with the development and testing of composite subsea insulation and passive fire protection materials, carrying out laboratory studies, the preparation of a range of test samples and reporting as appropriate.  All work must be carried out in accordance with the company’s ISO9001 quality system. 

Appropriate, in house training will be provided in the use of specific equipment, however, the successful candidate will need to be a self starter able to read and understand test methods and test plans and be capable of setting up equipment in this practical technical based role.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a scientific background and experience of working within a laboratory team. Knowledge of materials science and testing, fire protection or insulation would be an advantage. The ability to work consistently to high standards of accuracy and to follow instructions is essential. An eye for detail and being able to work under pressure are fundamental requirements for the candidate. Enthusiasm, good organisation and communication skills are also required.
